- Load this program when Windows begins - IDEAL Calendar is automatically loaded into the
system tray after Windows begins.
Calendar Settings
- Display the calendar when the program opens - The calendar part of the application is
displayed when IDEAL Calendar begins.
- Allow recurring events - This adds a Monthly tab to the calendar. Insert
occasions on this calendar page to be notified of them on every month of the year.
- Highlight the current day - Highlights the current day of the year. If you click on the
Highlight text in the settings dialog, the current day is outlined instead of
highlighted.
- Weeks begin on - This option allows you to choose the day the week begins.
- Year to view - The year in the edit box is load into the calendar to be viewed.
- View the current year - The current year is displayed instead of the last year selected.
- System tray tip format - Contains the information that is displayed when the mouse is
moved over the IDEAL Calendar icon in the system tray. Formatting codes are used to
display information concerning the date and time.
options
Event Settings
- Display a notification dialog when an occasion occurs - A dialog is displayed on any
occasion that has the notification option enabled.
- Play a sound - Plays a sound when an event occurs. To select a sound click on the file
button.
- Play a sound after the dialog is open every X minutes - When the notification dialog is
open, the sound selected is played, in intervals of the selected number of minutes, until
the dialog is closed.
Occasion Options
- Display on all months
- Displays the selected options on every month.
- Monthly occasions - This will display recurring monthly occasions on every month. All
monthly occasions will contain a prefix M:'. (Unless the option is disabled.)
- Weekly occasions - This will display weekly occasions on every month. All weekly
occasions will contain a prefix W:. (Unless the option is disabled.)
Occasion Colors
- The occasion colors are the colors that are displayed when displaying the type of
occasion instead of the occasion message. Press the button beside the colors to select a
new color. Press the Use Default Colors button to return all the occasion
colors back to their original color.
Calendar Tiles
- This gives you the option to display the calendar occasion types or message in the
calendar tiles. When the option to display the occasion message is selected, 3 different
font sizes can be chosen.
- Display occasion prefix - The calendar displays what type of occasion the occasion is.
Month (M:), Annual (Yearly) (Y:), Weekly (W:)
Remove All Occasions
- All the occasions in the month and year chosen is removed from the database. Annual
events are not deleted. This option does not remove yearly occasions. There is no way to
undo this option.
Custom Holidays
- This feature gives you the ability to add a holiday for any day of the year.
Common Holidays
- Press the Common button to deselect unwanted holidays.
Extended Options
- Display the calendar every day at - The calendar automatically displays itself at a
certain time every day.
- Display notifications in advance and on their current day - If this option is not
selected, the program will notify you in advance and not on the current day.
- Display notifications in between the current day and in advance - You will be notified
of the occasion during all the days in between the selected day in advance and the day of
the occasion.
- Display week numbers - the numbers of the week in a year. (1-53)
- Use 24-hour time - All time is switched to 24-hour time.
- The current date on the calendar is displayed is two different ways. (American or
European)
- Select the text and HTML program you would like to use for viewing occasions.
- You are notified on the current day of the occasion and notified in advance.
Programs
- Select the programs that you would normally use for a diary, to-do list, or an address
book.
- Click on the X to clear the program path.
Users
This section provides the ability to have multiple users.
The default user cannot be deleted.
When you delete a user, all the databases in the users directory is deleted. ( Be
careful)
- Export Files (Backup) - Send the databases and configuration file to the selected
destination.
- Import Files (Restore) - Place the databases from the selected directory into the
current users directory.
